So if you haven't seen the latest Zoo York Clothing ad featuring Kate Upton, well sorry, cause its pretty nice. However even if you haven't seen it, I'm sure you have heard all of the craziness that has surrounded the new commercial the brand released.  The question is, was this advertising a step too far, or was it simply another urban clothing company using their intelligence and ability to understand people as a way to create a buzz.

If you take walk down memory lane with me, let's head back to, oh let's say, 2004. That was the year when Akademiks launched their "Read Books, Get Brain" campaign. The reason this took offhand became such a controversial hit, was basically because people were stupid. The add was plastered on the sides of New York buses for the world to see, and championed for being a great educational add for kids to look too symbolising that attractive women liked attractive men. Only there was a double meaning in the "Get Brain" side of the ad that added a sexual meaning to the advertisement. Transit authorities didnt realise this at first and when they found out the ad was quickly banned. However by this point it was too late and Akademiks as a clothing got launched into another level because of it.

Now you have Zoo York Clothing, who looks to be adding the same type of controversy. The Kate Upton add has been banned from MTV and Turner Entertainment’s, Adult Swim Network, claiming that the ad was "too hot for t.v." The main reason for the ban was due to the language used in the video, and a shot of Upton's nipple. I mean really this was done for the sole reason of getting people talking and it did, so good job Zoo York. The thing that is crazy is that the ban came from MTV and Adult Swim. Really? Has anyone ever watched these networks. The videos that the various MTV outlets play etc? I think it all been a bit to staged, but that's me forever the conspiracy theorist. Anyway no matter how you look at it, Zoo York Clothing is being talked about, and as we know in business, if your being talked about, your probably making money.

Keep up the good work. I like the way you made the posting come alive with your use of suitable metaphors and phrases.
